A viewing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at the Adult Center of Prescott, 1280 E. Rosser St., in the Rowle P. Simmons Community Center. Donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Society Hospice, 1065 Ruth St., Prescott, AZ 86301. Hampton Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, November 10, 2010 Joyce Maybelle Fisher, age 82, was reunited with her husband, Bernie, on Monday, Nov. 8, 2010. She passed away at home, surrounded by her family and friends. Joyce was born on April 10, 1928, in Houston, Texas. At the age of 16, she relocated to Arizona, then to Prescott in 1951. Joyce was the loving mother of eight children and, through the grace of God, always presided over a full house of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, friends of children and grandchildren, and all others who happened in for a visit. Hers was a home of welcome where there always seemed to be room at the table for old and new friends. Joyce, though petite, was a mighty force to be reckoned with. Each of her children and grandchildren has vivid memories of her encouraging and booming support in all of their sporting endeavors. She loved spending time with friends and family - her coffee pot was always on - and she greatly enjoyed playing bingo with her friends and occasional trips to the casino to play slots. Joyce is survived by her eight children, Steve Western, Allen Western (Janice), Sheila Anderson, David Fisher (Debbie), Mike Fisher, Robert Fisher, Patrick Fisher (Jodi), and Lisa Fisher (David Singleton); 26 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her husband, Bernie, and grandson, Matthew. Viewing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at Hampton Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at the Adult Center of Prescott, located in the Rowle P. Simmons Community Center, 1280 E. Rosser St. The family suggests a donation to the Good Samaritan Society Hospice, 1065 Ruth St., Prescott, AZ 86301 in Joyce's memory. Hampton Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
