The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ December 9, 2008 Stephanie Gail Knapp, 48, of Show Low, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008. She was born Feb. 19, 1960, in Phoenix to Raymond and Carol (Hammonds) Byrum. She was raised in Phoenix and attended Maryvale High School. She moved to Oceanside, Calif., where she worked in the auto industry and later owned her own welding and manufacturing business, MVT. She came to Show Low with her parents in 2003. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Show Low. She loved being with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was an avid photographer, making picture albums for all the children. She was a very thoughtful person, always considerate of others and a loving child, sister and aunt. She greatly enjoyed baseball and was a member of the first Pad Squad of the San Diego Padres Baseball Team. She was very special to her family and will be missed by many. She is now at home with her Lord. Survivors include her parents, Raymond and Carol Byrum of Show Low; brother Stephen R. (Sue Neubert) Byrum of Show Low; nephew Aaron (Traci) Byrum and their children Austin, Ashley and Adison; niece Aubrey Moran and her children Noah and Devin; nephew Myles Byrum; and nieces Stephanie and Tori; brother Scott L. (Dennette) Byrum of Escondido, Calif.; nieces Lauren, Lindsey, Leslie and Larissa Byrum; maternal grandmother Hazel Hammonds of Phoenix; a special adopted brother, Tony DeGuido of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by her precious dog, Chantilly. A celebration of life service was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, at First Baptist Church, in Show Low with Pastor Mark Crotinger officiating.
