JONES, Jere Langford

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ December 12, 2008 Jere Langford Jones, 70, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at his Pinetop home. He was born Sept. 21, 1938, in Douglas to the late Everett J. and Wilma (Howard) Jones and has lived in Arizona his entire life, moving to the White Mountains nearly 20 years ago. He worked in the insurance industry for many years and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Jere is survived by his children, Julie (Mike Mitchell) Jones of Eagar, Chris (Diane) Jones of Peoria, Dana (Oscar) Acosta of Glendale and David Jones of Anthem; grandchildren Lindsey, Jeremy, Carly, Jennifer, Alex, Megan, Jessica, Brian and Jocelyn; and his former wife, Vicki Jones of Phoenix. He was preceded in death by son Brian Jones in 1970 and his second wife Sharman Jones nearly five years ago. Private family services will be held, however, his family would like to acknowledge those who express their sympathies through thought and deed.
