GROSS, Robert (Bob) Arthur

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ November 12, 2010 Robert “Bob” Arthur Gross, 79, died on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, in St. Johns. He was born March 22, 1931 in Bloomington, Ill. to Arthur Lee Gross and Laura Louise Sablotski Gross. Bob served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked for Coca-Cola and Phoenix Newspapers, Inc. He loved fishing and camping with all of his family and especially loved watching his great grandchildren play. Bob always had a smile on his face and loved life. His family and friends will miss him dearly. Bob is survived by his wife Patricia A. Gross of St. Johns; daughters Sue (James) Carthel of St. Johns; Sheryl (Harry) Lakser of Tucson; son Thomas (Linda) Gross, Aurora of Colo.; six grandchildren: Daniel (Geri) Carthel, Robert Carthel, Rayna (Scott) Weaver, Tyler Gross, Shaylynn Lakser, Kara Lakser and four great grandchildren: Ryan, Jeremiah, Ethan and Abbie. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private family services will be held at a later date. Burnham Mortuary of St. Johns handled arrangements.
