JOHNSON, Clint E.


Clint E. Johnson, 83, of Scottsdale passed away on January 4, 2004. Born in Cyrus, Minnesota, he attended Harvard Univ., Notre Dame Univ. & the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Johnson served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a life member & past president & past District Governor of the downtown Lion's Club. He was involved with establishment of the Lion's School for the Blind. He retired from management at Massey-Ferguson Tractor Implement Co. & came to Arizona where he became Department Director of Development of Salt River Project then Economic Planning. He served as Department Director of Development for the State of AZ & finally as CEO of the Foundation for Senior Living, Diocese of Phoenix before retiring completely. He was a member of OLPH at Scottsdale for 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Betty J.; daughter, Barbara A. Encinas; sisters, Ina Jensen & Evelyn Fervold both of Iowa. Memorial Mass Thursday, January 8, 2004 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3801 N. Miller Rd., Scottsdale, AZ.
