COWAN, Shane Michael

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Friday, November 12, 2010 Shane Michael Cowan, 30, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, in Flagstaff. Mr. Cowan was born Dec. 14, 1979. He loved adventure, the outdoors and hunting. More than anything, he loved to be challenged. You could see this in the excellent work he did as a successful construction superintendent for the past nine years, where he would tackle the most difficult problems with a twinkle in his eye. He was an amazing and loyal son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and friend. He always treated others with love, support and respect throughout his life. Mr. Cowan is survived by his parents, Michael and Dorie Cowan; sister Jesica Slawson; grandparents Dale and Donna Cowan and Joe and Marilyn Richards; two nieces; one nephew; and a host of adoring aunts, uncles and friends. A visitation for close friends and family will be today from 4 to 6 p.m. at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 916 E. Route 66, in Flagstaff.
