Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Sunday, November 14, 2010 U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Matthew J. Broehm, 22, of Williams, was killed in action Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, in Afghanistan. He had served in the Marines for three years. We mourn his passing but celebrate his life. He was devoted to God and his country. His desire was that others would know his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His biggest dream was to become a youth pastor and to share Jesus Christ with all the youth. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Lianna, who will always love him; his father; mother; sister; and two brothers, all from the Williams area. The family is having a celebration of his life Saturday at 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Williams, 629 W. Grant Ave. This will be a potluck, so bring your favorite food and memories to share. All family and friends are welcomed, as Matthew will be receiving full honors from the U.S. Marine Corps. Join us for his three-volley salute.
