Everett Honea, 53, died Oct. 27, 2008, at his residence in St. Johns. He was born April 10, 1955, in Susanville, Calif., to Harmon and Zelda Honea.
Everett worked as an electrician and was an active member of the IBEW Local Union 518. He retired in May. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing and coyote calling and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Honea of St. Johns; son Bobby (Heather) Honea of St. Johns; daughter Geneva (Nicolas Tapia) Honea of St. Johns; mother Zelda Honea of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother John (Debbie) Honea of Colorado Springs; sister Lee Etta (Mike) Callahan of Colorado Springs; and four grandchildren, Adalynn Honea, Bobbie Marie Honea, Nicholas Tapia and Everett Tapia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harmon Hughes Honea.
A funeral service was held Thursday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m., at the St. Johns Baptist Church of St. Johns. A visitation was held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Everett's family.
