Today's News-Herald, lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Sunday, November 14, 2010 Luther Ballance, 94, moved to Lake Havasu City from Lewistown, Montana in Jan. to be closer to his daughter. He was a resident at Lake Hills Inn until he was hospitalized on Friday, Nov. 5 and moved to the Polidori House on Saturday where he passed away peacefully on Nov. 9, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Jane Ballance. He is survived by his daughters, Billie Lou (Jim) Philp from Lake Havasu City, Vera (Joe) Babin from Clever, Mo.; and his stepdaughters, Zo (Edd) Meier from Sahuarita, Aria., LaVerne Silva from Wenatchee, Wash.; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. His body will be cremated here and a memorial service will take place at a later date in Lewistown, Mont. where his remains will be buried.
