PETROVICH, David Craig


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ November 16, 2010 David Craig Petrovich, 52, of Alpha, Ill. died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, after a brief illness at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Craig was born Feb 9, 1958 in Moline, Ill., the son and third child of the late Sam and Betty Evrard Petrovich. He grew up in Alpha, Ill. and graduated from Alwood High School in 1976. He moved to Arizona in 1979. Craig was employed with 2L Electric in Show Low, Navopache Electric in Lakeside and then started his own electrical contracting business D.C. Petrovich Electric in Pinetop. He relocated with his business back to Alpha, Ill. in 2007. Craig was a lifelong lover of the outdoors, enjoying his favorite pastimes of camping, hunting, and fishing with his family and friends. He loved Arizona and especially the White Mountains. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church in Pinetop. Craig was a friend to everyone and a compassionate, hard-working person who will be greatly missed. Survivors include his two wonderful children, Weston of Tucson and Tavia of Chandler; brother and sister-in-law Mike (Jane) Petrovich of Alpha; sister and brother-in-law Cindy (Bob) Fowler of Dunwoody, Ga.; brother Aaron Petrovich of Denver, Colo.; his fiancé Joella Holdsworth of Alpha; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his inseparable canine companion, Copper. A memorial and burial will follow cremation rites to be held in the spring of 2010 in Alpha, Ill. The family kindly requests any condolences in the memory of Craig be sent to Joella Holdsworth, P.O.
