VARVEL, Lionel F., Sr.

Lionel F. Varvel, Sr., 72 resident of Phoenix passed away Jan. 3, 2004. He was born in St. Anne, ILL. on Feb. 19 1931. Lionel worked in Phoenix as a painting contractor for 40 years. He was an accomplished artist & member of the AZ Cowboy Artist Assoc. Lionel was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years, Frances. He is survived by his children Millie & Joe Longstreet, Bev & Dave Witter, Harold Hilderbrand, Carl & Emma Hilderbrand, Frank Varvel, Lionel & Rosalinda Varvel, Sandy & Brian Jones, his brother Bob Varvel, 16 grandchildren & 21 great grandchildren. Lionel was loved by his family & friends and will be deeply missed. Visitation: Wed. Jan. 7th with rosary at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary 719 N. 27th Ave. Funeral Services: Thurs.
