John Wayne
John Wayne Anderson, age 53, of Charlotte, NC, died January 2, 2004 at home.
He was born on August 11, 1950 in Camp Carson, Colorado, the son of the late Gilbert Wayne Anderson and Frances Ellen Reid.
Mr. Anderson lived most of his life in Mesa, AZ and moved to Charlotte, NC in 1989. He had been a Field Engineer with Hewlett Packard. John was a Ham Radio operator with the call sign "N7IJI". He enjoyed working with and on computers, and fishing as a pastime. He was a member, and loved his church, First Baptist of Charlotte.
Survivors include his loving wife, Ann Zagora Anderson; two sons, Tim W. Anderson of Tempe, AZ, and Sean Anderson of Glendale, AZ; granddaughter, Lorna Lynn Anderson; brothers, Larry W. Anderson of Phoenix, AZ, and Richard Anderson of Corning, CA; sisters, Gaye Allred and Cathy Walker of Afton, WY; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside service was held Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, Freedom Drive, Charlotte, with the Reverend Dr. Charles Page officiating.
