RAINER, Charles D. (Dave)


Charles D. "Dave" Rainer, 65, of Casa Grande and a part-time resident of Cascade, Idaho, died Jan. 15, 2004 in Casa Grande. Memorial service Tuesday at Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel, with the Rev. Rick Lemberg officiating. Mr. Rainer was born June 13, 1938 in Fort Myers, Florida, to Benjamin and Rosalie (Andrews) Rainer. He was a systems manager for Bell South before retirement. He was very proud of his family and treasured his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and doing volunteer work for the Nazarene Church, which took him to Swaziland, Trinidad and Costa Rica. He worked for six months with Compassionate Ministry in Orlando, Fla., and also volunteered with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the National Park Service. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Bonnie; three daughters, Beth Rainer of Atlanta, Joy Rogers of Nashville, Tenn., and Lori Marcum of Middletown, Ohio; a son, Paul Rainer of Littleton, Colo.; a sister, Donna Rainer of Largo, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
