GARCIA, Alfred (Fredy)

Alfred "Fredy" Garcia Sr. was born Feb 4, 1952 in Phoenix, AZ. He entered the gates of heaven on Jan 17, 2004. He was raised up in the Marcos de Niza projects. Alfred enlisted in the U.S. Army at age 17. Fredy served proudly in the Vietnam war, he was in the 101st Airborne division L.R.R.P.-3rd Bn-506th infantry. "Big Al" loved to spend time with his fellow friends and veterans at the American Legion Post 41. Fred had a great sense of humor and a loving sweet personality that just wouldn't quit. He could spark a conversation with just about anyone. There are no words to express how greatly he will be missed. His memory will live on in our hearts, as we await to reunite in heaven. He is survived by his wife Ernestina Garcia; sons, Alfred Jr., Robert, Ruben, and Roman. Daughters Lynette, Loreana, and Lydia Garcia. His mother Mary L. Garcia. Brothers Raymond, Mike and Robert Garcia. Grandchildren Jasmine, Fredy III, Gus, Andrew, Capri, and Angelina. Visitation Wednesday, January 21, 2004. Rosary at Our Lady of Fatima 1418 S. 17th Ave. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday January 22, 2004. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.
