HAKAL, Edward E.

Edward E. Hakal, 89, of Sun City, AZ. Beloved father and husband left this world on January 15, 2003, his parting words were "I had a wonderful life, with no regrets and if I had to do it again I would do it just the same!" He leaves behind, his 7 daughters (each of them his "favorite") and blessed with 3 step children, 26 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. His first wife, Loretta, along with his only son Eddie Jr. deceased in 1974. He remarried Margaret M. in 1977. They established residency in Sun City in 1980. Mr. Hakal was born and raised in Cleveland before coming to Sun City. He was an avid golfer, accomplished musician, a member of the Sun Dial Men's Club. He attended St. Elizabeth Seton Church where he did volunteer work. His family will celebrate his life at McGorray Brothers' Funeral Home, 25620 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake, Ohio on Monday January 19th and services will be held Tuesday January 20th at St. Maron's Church in Cleveland. He will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
