The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Saturday, November 20, 2010 Joan Dorothy Garcia, 59, of Camp Verde, Arizona, was called home by God on November 17, 2010. Dorothy was born in Flagstaff, Arizona on March 21, 1951. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a devout member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Her hobbies were bowling, fishing, embroidering, knitting, crocheting, and enjoying nature. She is preceded in death by her dad, Juan and her sister, Judy. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Julian; her sons, Richard, Heath, and Brian; her grandchildren, Nikki, Analicia, Dannelle, and Kyle; her daughter-in-law, Dominique; her mother, Rosie; her sisters, Barbara (Sandy) Gill and children, Rosalie (Edward) Lozano and children, Jenny and children; and her brother, Johnny (Darby) and children. A visitation will be 6:30 p.m. with vigil and rosary Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 781 S. Cliffs Parkway, Camp Verde.
