Wickenburg (AZ) Graphic Friday, May 27, 1932, p 5:1 Ash Fork A young lad, Orville Spengla, 17 years old, died in the operating room of Dr Jones on Wednesday afternoon. While attempting to board a fast moving freight he struck a railroad switch and was thrown under the train. His clothes became fastened to something under the freight car, and he was dragged several hundred feet when he was picked up. His body was badly mangled. Dr Jones gave him first aid. He lived for four hours after the accident. His body was taken to Prescott to the undertaker's, and later was shipped to his home and his parents in Monterey, Calif. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Los Angeles (CA) Times Monday, May 23, 1932, p 12 Speegle--The funeral of Orville Speegle, beloved son of Mr and Mrs George Speegle, today at 1pm at chapel of Alvarez & Moore.
