Josephine R. Rowe, age 82, of Mesa, Ariz. and formerly of Globe, Ariz. for 40 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 at Banner Gardens Hospice House in Mesa. Josephine was born on April 2, 1928 in Montrose, Colo. of parents, Fred and Mary (Gerstner) Unrein. Josephine was one of six children and is survived by Ralph (Marie) Unrein, and sister Helen Wombacher.
Josephine was known to those close to her as “Jo.” She married William B. “Bill” Rowe on Jan. 5, 1952.
Jo and Bill are survived by their boys, Vernon (Deborah) Rowe of Mesa, Ariz., and Daniel Rowe of Eugene, Ore., along with two grandchildren, Heather and Jason (Niki).
Jo was a very strong woman who loved the outdoors, fishing, and gardening. In her last years, she loved spending time with people and playing BINGO and card games. Jo will be missed by all she touched.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 201 S. Broad St., in Globe. The family suggests donations be made to the church.
All who knew Jo are invited to the service.
