Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Thursday, March 13, 2008 Karen Ann Swanson, 52, passed away suddenly, Monday, March 10, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. She was born Jan. 30, 1956, in Derry, N.H., to Helen Carey and Norman Swanson. Karen moved to Lake Havasu City 32 years ago from Derry. She has been employed by Gallagher's Pub and Dining for the past 15 years. Karen enjoyed sewing, making hand made crafts, needle pointing, gardening - she hated those weeds, and remodeling her homes. She is survived by her son, Justin Thurnbauer, of Lake Havasu City; sisters, Margaret Micca, of New York, and Jo-Ann Stedwell, of Lake Havasu City; and her extended family; Rick, Tiler; and Miner and all her friends who knew and loved her from the bar. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at Lietz- Fraze Chapel at 2 p.m. Words of comfort and inspiration will be expressed by Rev. Richard Rounds. A Celebration of life will follow the service at Gallagher's Pub & Dining. All are welcome.
