Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Monday, March 10, 2008 Opal Lily Baughman, 94, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. She was born Feb. 27, 1914, to John and Mary (Porter) Milburn in O’Fallon, Ill. Opal worked in Lincoln, Ill., as a nursing aide for 20 years. She moved to Lake Havasu City 25 years ago from Xenia, Ill. Opal loved playing Bingo and making crafts. Opal leaves behind her sons, Wesley (Carol) Greenwood, of Milan, Ill., Lawrence Lee (Liz) Greenwood, of Gulfport, Miss., and Delbert (Harlene) Greenwood, of Iuka, Ill.; two daughters, Ginger (Raymond) Nieders and Mariea (George) Northam, all of Lake Havasu City; 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren. She will also be dearly missed by all her friends and the staff at Lake Hills Inn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Van Alvord Baughman who passed away in 1970; five brothers, four sisters and great granddaughter, Brenda Carol Greenwood. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m., at Lake Havasu Baptist Church. Words of comfort and inspiration will be presented by Pastor Mike Moorehead.
