Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Tuesday, March 4, 2008 John L. Freitas Jr., 78, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at his home in Lake Havasu City. John was born April 1, 1929, in Oakland, Calif., to John L. Freitas Sr. and Olive (Rose) Freitas. John and his wife, Gevana, moved to Lake Havasu City from San Lorenzo, Calif., 18 years ago, enabling John to pursue his passion for golf. John is survived by his daughter, Victoria Freitas, of Las Vegas, Nev.; son, John (Cindy) Freitas, of Peoria, Ariz.; and his grandchildren, Shaun Freitas, Kristin Freitas, Jamie Freitas, Justin Freitas and Thomas Heath. John’s family has asked that no flowers be sent, but friends of John’s are invited to join the family at Los Lagos Villa II community pool to celebrate his life on Saturday at 1 p.m. Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at http://www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com/">www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
