Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Thursday, February 7, 2008 William Howard Soderberg, 70, passed away suddenly at his home in Lake Havasu City Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2008. He was born Nov. 27, 1937, in Chicago, Ill., to William Sr. and Louise Soderberg. Bill was the youngest of three children, including sisters, Lois Nuccio and Joyce Regner. In 1978 Bill moved his family to Anaheim, Calif., where he worked and then retired from McDonnell Douglas. He retired to Lake Havasu City in 1993. Bill enjoyed his many dear friends, boating, sports, and card games. In past years, Bill was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and Eagles. He also was a volunteer cook for the Eagles and Moose Lodge. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy; daughters, Lois (Mark) Gill, of Clayton, Calif., Lori (Brian) Rule, of Lake Havasu City; son, William “Will” Soderberg of Lake Havasu City; sister, Joyce Regner of Buckeye, Ariz.; and grandchildren, Steven, Ben, Katie and Ryan. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lois Nuccio. A Celebration of Bill’s life will be scheduled for a later date.
