Ernest G. Hudson passed gently from this earth Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, after a hard fought battle against cancer. He was born in St. Paul, Minn., April 18, 1949. He grew up in San Diego, Calif., and worked for Rohr Industries in Chula Vista and Riverside, Calif. He retired from Rohr after 30 years service.
In Ernie's eyes his life began when he met his wife, Tena, and they married on March 24, 1979. He loved Lake Havasu City and they made the trip from California every weekend and holiday until their retirement. Upon retiring, they built their retirement home in Lake Havasu City.
Ernie’s passions in life included the lake, boats, motorcycles (all his toys) and anything outdoors. He loved spending quality time with his friends and family surrounded by the things he treasured. He was eager to keep up with today’s ever changing technology and he enjoyed sharing that knowledge with others.
Ernie is survived by his wife, Tena K. Hudson, of Lake Havasu City; his mother, Gail Wright, of San Diego, Calif.; his sister, Roxanne (Rick) Ehrke and their son, Sean, from San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; his daughter, Tresha F. Piccinonno, grandchildren, Christopher Robert Piccinonno and Amber Dawn Piccinonno, of Riverside, Calif.; his son, Kenneth Joseph (S©a) Manion and their daughter Kaj_ of Bellingham, Wash. He was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Scott Hudson, of San Diego.
Ernie requested there be no services. A special gathering of family and friends has been pre-arranged to celebrate his life.
