Elna Herminia-Rose Burdin, 93, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. She was born Dec. 17, 1914, in Bankrof, Neb., to Fredrick W. and Augusta (Gust) Abendroth.
Elna moved to Lake Havasu City 13 years ago from Reseda, Calif. She worked as a sales clerk for Bullocks Wilshire in Los Angeles, Calif. Elna was a member of the San Fernando Valley Orchid Society.
Elna is survived by her son, William T. Burdin, of Los Angeles, Calif.; daughters, Gloria J. Sheppard, of Lake Havasu City; Lois E. Scott, of Folson, Calif.; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Budd” Burdin.
A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be expressed by Father Peter. A potluck reception will follow at New Horizon Center, 2040 Moyo Dr.
