Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Thursday, January 10, 2008 Emil Yaro Kerner, 76, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. He was born July 13, 1931, in Bedford, Ohio, to Emil and Agnes (Slater) Kerner. Emil moved to Lake Havasu City 17 years ago from Solon, Ohio. He worked as a senior engineer for Perry Nuclear Plant in Perry, Ohio, for 10 years. Emil served his country proudly in the U.S. Army, Korean Conflict. Emil is survived by his wife, soul mate and best friend, Ann Kerner; sister, Janet Barto; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Barto; favorite niece, Ann (Tim) Henkel; nephew, Steve Gregory; nieces, Debbie and Karen; and many more nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Hank; and his brother-in-law, Steve Barto. Emil is gone but never forgotten. His long, hard-fought battle for life is over.
