Betty Jean Humphrey, 70, passed away Dec. 23, 2007, in Lake Havasu City. She was born Feb. 10, 1937, in Recter, Ark., to Loran and Phillis (Cooper) Segroves.
Betty moved to Lake Havasu City from Flint, Mich., where she worked as a bookkeeper for West Side Credit Union for 17 years. She was a member of the Elkettes, American Legion Women's Auxiliary, and Mount Olive Lutheran Church. She made some of the most beautiful beaded necklaces you have ever seen.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Billy "Bill" Joe Humphrey, of Lake Havasu City; sons, Bill Humphrey and Brent Humphrey; sister, Wanda Kohan; and grandchildren, Blake, Beau and Bethany Humphrey.
A memorial service will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church on Friday at 11 a.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be expressed by Pastor Greg Mannel.
