VIGES, Enzie Walter

1 Aug 1912 - 5 Jan 1982 Enzie Walter Viges, 69, who had been maintenance supervisor for the Arizona National Guard 26 years until retiring in 1972, died January 5, 1982, in Good Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Viges, 4239 E. Campbell, moved to Phoenix 40 years ago from his native Michigan. He was an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of Glendale Masonic Lodge 23. He was a member of the National Guard since 1946 and served in the Korean War and the Berlin Airlift. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary; children, Karen Kimball, Gordon, Richard and Dennis; nine grandchildren, and three sisters, Lena Frosch, Nina Lee and Thelma Giowacki. Services in the Phoenix 25th Ward LDS Chapel, 4225 N. 56th St. Memory Lawn Mortuary made arrangements. Interment is at Mesa City Cemetery. The Arizona Republic, Friday, January 8, 1982, p. E3.
