The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ November 26, 2010 Maria Michelle Peaches Standing went home to be with the Lord Nov. 20, 2010, in Mesa. She was born Aug. 17, 1979, in Whiteriver. "She will be dearly missed and there will be a special place in our hearts that no one else can ever fill." Maria is survived by her daughter Kylie Jones; son Shakeem Jones; husband: Marco Dean Standing; godsons: Quincy Ethelbah, Richard Divalentino III; parents Woodrow Peaches Jr. and Brenda Peaches; brother Brando Peaches (Latoya); sisters: Kate Peaches, Kyra Peaches, Terri White (Leo), Mattea Peaches, Kayshawn Peaches, Jazzlyn Peaches, Shadee Peaches, Nikki Jade Peaches; grandfather Woodrow Peaches Sr.; grandmother Lorraine Endfield; six nephews; seven nieces and many relative and friends. Maria was preceded in death by grandmothers: Andrena Peaches, Julia Burnette and great-grandmother Mary D. Burnette. Maria's body will be brought back to her residence at 1st S. Street House #417 in Whiteriver for a two night awake starting Saturday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at the Riverside Church in East Fork with Pastor Martinez officiating. Interment will be at the Whiteriver Cemetery. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
