CONDIT, Charles (Chuck) D.


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ October 9, 2008 Charles (Chuck) D. Condit, 61, of Snowflake died Oct. 4, 2008. He was born in Ann Arbor, Mich., March 19, 1947, to Eldon J. and the late Cleo (Brown) Condit. Chuck graduated from Saline High School in Ann Harbor, Mich., in 1965. He married Wanda J. Condit in 1972, and over the years, they lived in several cities throughout the state of Arizona and in Littleton, Colo. In 1965 Chuck enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp and was stationed in Camp Pendleton, Calif. Chuck served in Vietnam, where he received many military medals and awards for his country. Chuck began his career with Mountain Bell Telephone Company in 1971 which later became Qwest Communication. Chuck retired as an engineer from Qwest Communication in 2003. He was preceded in death by his son, CJ Condit. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Condit of Snowflake; son Richard Carter of Snowflake; and daughter Suzette Mansfield (Jerry) of Harker Heights, Texas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, two sisters, two brothers and his father of Michigan. He will be missed by many friends and co-workers. A memorial service was held at the City of Globe Cemetery Thursday, Oct. 9.
