HAYDEN, JoAnn


JoAnn Hayden, 57, of Mesa passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2004. She was born April 5, 1946 in Flagstaff, AZ. She was a Mental Health Advocate and U.S. Army veteran. She was among the first female members of the Army band which toured in Europe. She was a Virtuoso Clarinetist and a lover of Mozart. She was a giver of life to orphaned plants, pets and people. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jewel. She is survived by her father, Scott Hayden; brothers, John and Bruce; sisters, Mary and Cynthia; nieces, Rachael and Lori and nephews, Aaron and Steve. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Phoenix Visions of Hope Center. A private Remembrance Gathering will be held in her honor on Saturday, January 10, 2004. Bunker's Garden Chapel handled the arrangements. Published in the East Valley Tribune and the Arizona Republic on 1/8/2004.
