DIRST, Suzanne

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, November 27, 2010 Suzanne Dirst, 71, passed away on Nov. 19, 2010, in Prescott, Ariz., of complications from cardiac disease. Her children, Nancy, David, Kenneth and Candi, were by her side. Suzanne grew up in Chicago and raised her family in Mt. Prospect, Ill. In 1991, she and her husband Joe retired to Prescott. They loved having visitors and showing them the sights... especially the Grand Canyon. They were both active in Neighborhood Association Councils. They were involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program, mentoring two children, Jose and his sister Josie. Suzanne continued with them for two years after Joe's death in 2004. Suzanne volunteered at People Who Care, helping shut-ins. She was also active in the Tri-City Singles. Her children will be distributing her ashes at a later date, at a local lake, at a place that was very special to them. Information provided by survivors.
