ZAHARCHUK, Donna Rae

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ November 30, 2010 Donna Rae Zaharchuk, 70, of Gold Canyon and Alpine died Nov. 22, 2010 of lung cancer at Lund Hospice Home in Gilbert. She was born Jan. 10, 1949, to parents Lyyli and Clarence Steil. She grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where she lived until 1957, and after which she moved with her family to Arizona. Donna had a successful career within the mainframe computer industry as an information technology specialist and manager, with General Electric, Honeywell, and Bull Worldwide Information Systems. She attended Western International University where she graduated with distinction with a degree in Business Administration. She attended The American Graduate of International Management, completing the Executive Development Program there. She received numerous awards for her accomplishments, throughout her professional career. Donna is survived by her devoted and loving husband; sisters: Sharon Miles, Mary Lynn Sadler, Betty Lu Holland, and Pat Gore; sons: Scott Stubbs and Todd Stubbs; son Adam Zaharchuk, daughter Lara (Zaharchuk) Grossman; grandchildren: Ryne Stubbs, Deidra Stubbs, Katie and Elisabeth Grossman; and great granddaughter Jenae (Stubbs) Rajman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyyli and Clarence Steil Funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 2, beginning at 2 p.m., at Hansen Chapel, 8314 North 7th Street in Phoenix. Her ashes will be buried at the Alpine Cemetery in Alpine at a future date.
