Calvin Yates
Calvin Yates Parker, 80, died Jan. 6, 2005 at Brownwood Memorial Hospital. A private service was planned. Mr. Parker was born March 14, 1924. He was a longtime resident of Coolidge, beginning in 1981. He was an aviation pioneer, having designed, built and sold plans for the first all-aluminum U-Build airplanes (Jeanie's Teenie and the Teenie Two) that were on the cover and were featured in Popular Mechanics magazine in 1968 and 1971.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn Mueller of Bryan, Texas; two sisters, Linda Meadows of Banning, Calif., and Suzan Steager of Temecula, Calif.; a grandson; and two great-granddaughters. Preceding him in death were his wife, Mary Jane; a great-grandson, William Peter Moor III; and three sisters.
