Hazel M. St. John, 75, of Gilbert, Arizona died January 4, 2004 in Mesa. She was born in Phoenix on February 26, 1928 and remained here her entire life.
Hazel and her late husband, Sonny lived their life in the livestock and dairy business. They lived in Phoenix and met at Alhambra High where they started their life as one. They had a dairy business in Tolleson. This is where they raised three children. From there, they moved to Tempe, Glendale, and their final home was in Gilbert. They made many friends through all their dairy and cattle businesses. She and her husband were the kind of people that would help a neighbor, friends or relatives anytime they were asked.
She is survived by her son, Vernon St. John; daughters, Paulette St. John and Penny K. Bailey; brother, Gilbert Ashley; grandchildren, Lesley St. John, Kimberly Bailey, Verna St. John (Patton), Derek Bailey; great-grandchildren, Anastasia Mullins and Randy Nicholson.
Funeral Services Friday, January 9, 2004 at Gateway Fellowship, SBC, 60 North Recker Road, in Gilbert. Visitation Thursday, January 8, 2004 at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 W. Juniper Avenue, in Gilbert. Family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in memory of Hazel St. John to Gateway Fellowship, SBC, 60 N. Recker Road, Gilbert, AZ 85234.
