(Maiden Name: Kury)

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, December 01, 2010 Mrs. Betty Lou Reynolds, age 74, passed away unexpectedly in a peaceful sleep on Saturday morning, Nov. 27, 2010. Betty was born on Sept. 14, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Elizabeth and Louis Kury. Betty is with them and protecting her family here from the heavens above. Betty and her husband Lloyd were spending the holidays with their family and visiting with friends in Globe, as they had many times over the past several years, when she passed away. They had lived in the Globe area from 1975 through 2001 and touched many lives through their work and businesses during that time. Betty, “Big Blue at the Pinto Valley warehouse,” had worked for the mining companies for 21 years ending her carrier with BHP Copper and had made many friends in the area. Very few knew that before she came to the Globe area, in her younger years, she was a dancer, figure skater and called the “Movie Star” by her son’s friends, a beautiful woman both inside and out. Her love of family was without question her greatest achievement and the love she shared and taught will forever be shared throughout the generations. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Lloyd “JR” Reynolds of Royal Ark, he will forever keep the memory of their love and affection close to his heart and alive; her son, Alan L. (Lori Siegel) Weitz of Globe, Ariz., who will forever cherish and love their mother; sister, Anne (Mark) Kobernick of San Pedro, Calif., who will keep their sisterhood true; three step-children, Catherine and Lloyd JR Reynolds both of Arkansas, and Barbara Kobacki of Globe, Ariz., they will miss her greatly; her six grandchildren, Brittany Henderson, Brian and Christopher Siegel, and Brian, Emily and Jason Reynolds, they will share her memory for years to come; and her two young great granddaughters, Alexis and Sophia, the apples of her eyes and the love of her life, who will be reminded of the love Betty taught us all to share with each other. Betty will be watching over her extended family from heaven until they all join her to share her love. She will be greatly missed by both her family and the many lives she touched over the years. A viewing and services will be held Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 at Miles Dameron Funeral Home. The viewing will be from 3 to 4 p.m. and services will start at 4 p.m. All those who would like to pay their last respects are welcome. Betty’s final resting place will be at the Oak View Cemetery in the Royal, Ark. area.
