TURNER, Francia Jane


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ October 12, 2008 Francia Jane Turner, 65, entered eternal rest Oct. 3, 2008, in Show Low. She was born Sept. 13, 1943, in Springerville to the late Claude and Allie (Allen) Saffell. Francia was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Lakeside Ward. She was a full-time mom and worker, being employed with El Rancho for 35 years. Her family was her life, and they will miss her late night phone calls. Some of Francia's favorite pastimes included shopping, bird watching with her sister Claudia and Saturday night movies with her best friend, Barbara Duhamell. She is survived by two daughters, Melissa Cordova-Turner of Mesa and Jeneise Turner of Lakeside; son Aaron Hoskins-Turner of Lakeside; grandchildren Joshua Daniel Turner, Ashlee Elyzabeth Ross, Jaymie Mischele Ross, Meghan Marie Morrison and Destiny Meghan Marie Hoskins; sister Claudia Hale and family; and best friends Rex and Barbara Duhamell and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Kenneth Turner, and son, James Turner. A visitation was held Friday, Oct. 10, at the Owens Livingston Mortuary White Mountain Chapel in Show Low.
