WHITSON, Joshua Daniel


Joshua Daniel Whitson born December 13, 1984 in Phoenix, AZ, passed from this life January 1, 2004 in Honolulu, Hawaii, after a year long battle with T-Blast Lymphoma. During his 19 years and 19 day life, Joshua lived in Phoenix, AZ, Seneca Falls, NY, Keokuk, IA, Guam, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Kodiak Island, AK, Oneida, KY, and Honolulu, HI. He was a Christian, active in operating the sound system at church, the Boy Scouts, swimming, and mountain climbing. He loved the Lord, his family and friends, and beach parties. His greatest desire was to return to Arizona and live among family. He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Christina Whitson, brother Jacob C., sisters Brenda and Toni Whitson, grandparents Marvin and Mary Whitson, Maria Meure, and June Key. Uncles Jim Aylea, Marvin (Susan) Whitson, Jim (Laura) Whitson, Paul (Mary) Whitson. Aunts Marva (Jack) Villa, Rene Aylea, and Deborah Kelling. 26 cousins and countless friends from the Arctic to South Africa. Special thanks to: Hospice Services, Tripler Army Hospital Honolulu, HI. Friends who donated blood, food, transportation, comfort and prayer. Moanaloa High School for bringing the graduation ceremony to Joshua's ICU room and allowing him to receive his diploma. He cherished it almost as much as reaching the top of Twin Peaks Mountain. Funeral services were held in Honolulu. Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Park Cemetery West January 10, 2004.
