Paulina E. Snyder, 73, passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan's Marley House on Nov. 28, 2010.
She was born in Pecos, N.M., as Paulina Griego. Her father worked in the mines in Jerome, Ariz., and Superior, Ariz., then moved to Albuquerque, N.M.
At age 18, Paulina went to nursing school in Phoenix where she met Arthur A. Snyder. They married and she put nursing school on hold to move to Munds Park, Ariz., and raise six children. After 16 years, she returned to nursing school in Flagstaff with her children on the NAU campus. After graduating, she began a 40-year nursing career in Tucson, Ariz.
She moved to Chino Valley, Ariz., and after a courageous fight with liver disease and diabetes, she finally got to go home to be with the Lord and loved ones that went before her.
She is survived by three brothers; two sisters; six children; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one due in December.
"Rest now, Mom, and enjoy all the great rewards you so deserve in Heaven - we all love you and miss you very much."
