Ron Haasl, 64, of Quemado, N.M., died Aug. 20, 2008, in Springerville. He was born Sept. 10, 1943, in Ladysmith, Wis., to Harold and Elizabeth Haasl.
Ron served his country in the U.S. Army from August 1967-70; he was a Vietnam War veteran. He was owner/operator of a trucking and gravel pit business. He loved working, traveling and spending time with his family.
Ron is survived by his wife, Diane Thiele; sons Ron (Tammy) Haasl of Weatherford, Okla., and Rick (Lora) Haasl of Amarillo, Texas; daughters, Denise (Ashley) Bauer of Lyle, Minn., and Linda Port of Minneapolis, Minn.; brothers Tom Haasl, Ed Haasl of Ladysmith, Wis., and Phil Haasl of Anchorage, Alaska; and 10 grandchildren, Meagan, Madison, Terra, Lee, Mia, Celsey, Hunter, Chase, Leah and Todd.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
