The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ September 4, 2008 In loving memory of beloved father, brother, son and companion Curtley Ethelbah. Curtley went home to be with his Heavenly Father Aug. 29, 2008, in Flagstaff. He was born Oct. 1, 1981, in Whiteriver to Bradley Ethelbah and Aluna Potter. Curtley attended Southwest Indian Bible School in Peoria, Alchesay High School in Whiteriver and Job Corps in Collbran, Colo. Curtley loved camping in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, going in the woods looking for antlers and taking rides in the mountains, but most of all he loved spending time with his daughter Tyra. He was employed at Sunrise Park Resort as well as a Southwest firefighter. Curtley is survived by his daughter, Tyra Allyn Ethelbah; companion Chanda Alsenay; parents, Aluna Potter and Bradley Ethelbah; three sisters, Bernadine Ethelbah, Arnetta Yazzie and Benita Kessay; one brother, Ethan Ethelbah; godsisters Jessica Cody and Raysha Childs; godbrothers Terrance Skacey and Darrell James; and many nephews, nieces relatives and friends. His body will be brought back to his mother Aluna Potter's residence in Chinatown, House No. 105, on Friday, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m. Funeral services will be held Sept. 6, at 10 a.m. at the White Mountain Apache Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor John Hoyt, Franklin Dickens and Buster Beatty. Burial will be at the family plot in Diamond Creek at the Golden Gorge View Cemetery.
