Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Saturday, December 4, 2010 Herbert S. Judkins Dec. 19, 1914 - Nov. 22, 2010 Retired from the United States Navy after 20 years, Herbert Judkins worked for another 17 years for Caltrans in San Diego as a special crews superintendent. He retired in 1977 to travel the United States in his motor home. Herbert passed away Nov. 22 in Yuma after a long illness. Herbert is survived by his wife, Margaret (Peggy); sons, Kevin of San Diego, Terry of Knivsta, Sweden, Ronald of Madrid, Spain; and two stepdaughters, Pamela (Pete) Selvig of Yuma, and Penny Childers of San Diego. A celebration of his life will take place at a future date. At his request no services are planned. Sunset Vista Funeral Home and Cemetery is handling the arrangements including cremation.
