Joseph E. Mahon, 61, died suddenly Aug. 20, 2008. Joe was born in Detroit, Mich., to Patrick and Marie Mahon.

After attending college, Joe moved to Arizona in 1974, met his wife Jane and became an avid Suns fan. Joe worked in the area of testing construction materials for at least 30 years. He worked for companies such as Tanner, United Metro Materials, Western Technology, City of Phoenix ATL, Kiewit, ADOT and Rinker Material and was currently employed by Quality Testing.

Joe is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jane; two sons, Matthew Mahon of Payson and Thomas Mahon of Scottsdale; brothers Patrick and Thomas Mahon; and sisters-in-law Carol Mahon and Judy Koval.

A celebration of life gathering will be scheduled at a later date.
