RENKO, Joseph Christian

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ September 11, 2008 Joseph Christian Renko, 62, died Sept. 7, 2008, at RTA Hospice and Palliative Care in Lakeside. Joseph was born Aug. 17, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Betty (Rasmussen) Renko. Joseph loved to fish and was a commercial fisherman in his youth. He enjoyed prospecting for gold. He was an avid Civil War enthusiast, and his motorcycles were one of his great loves. He is survived by two sons Chris Renko of San Diego, Calif., and Joseph (Becky) Renko of Lakeside; daughter Shelly Johnson of Snowflake; grandchildren Arianna, Brett, Ashleigh, Jesse, Elisa and Addison; and brother Chris Renko of San Diego, Calif. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Renko. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
