BELIN, Tommie


Tommie Belin, 90, passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2004. She was born in Charleston, Arkansas December 4, 1913, the eldest of five children. She is preceded in death by husband, Clyde. Grandson David and brothers Joseph and Raymond. She is survived by daughter Gerri and son-in-law Donald, three Grandchildren Steven and wife Lori, Daniel and Rebecca and husband Bobby, six Great Grandsons Randy, Jonathan, Joel, Matthew, David and Mitchell and Great Granddaughter Mariah Rose and sisters Pat Decker, and Pauline McNutt. She and husband Clyde faithfully served the Lord Jesus Christ and were actively involved in ministry, founded 16 churches, a Bible College and were influential in establishing Phoenix Christian Assembly. Through her example and influence many lives have been touched and changed. After retiring from ministry and moving to Phoenix in 1957 she was employed by Castleberry Construction, Stiffler Electric, and Phoenix Christian Day Care. She always made a contribution of love and joy wherever she was. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered. Visitation was Friday evening, January 9th at Green Acres Chapel of Light. Services were Saturday, January 10th at Phoenix Christian Assembly 2030 N. 36th Street. Internment at Green Acres. Published in the Arizona Republic on 1/9/2004.
