EARNSHAW, Herbert C.


Herbert C. Earnshaw, 81, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2004. Herb was born in Shawnee, Kansas and moved to Phoenix at the age of 3 months. He attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from St. Mary's High School. Herb was an U.S. Army World War II ETO veteran, an honorary lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post #41. He retired as a Senior Welder & Brazing Technician from Motorola Inc. Government Electronics Group. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mary Gertrude; daughters, Geraldine Lewis (Tom), Deborah Fischer (Fred) and Laurie Nash (Terry); brothers, Paul, Joe and John Earnshaw; and grandchildren, Allison Shepherd (Keith), Brian McNamara, Ryan and Kevin Nash. Visitation was Saturday, January 10th, at St. Mary's Basilica, 231 N. 3rd St., with Funeral Mass following. Interment St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014 or Good Shepherd Care Center, 10323 W. Olive, Peoria, AZ 85345.
