ISBELL, James Crawford

James Crawford Isbell died December 14, 2005. Born April 14, 1922 in Alta, Iowa to George and Sadie Isbell; he was the youngest of 7 children. He moved to Correctionville, IA as a young child and lived there until he joined the Air Force after high school graduation. He and his wife, Betty Elaine Beason, moved to Arizona in 1954 where he worked for Walsh Bros. for many years before his retirement in 1985. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty, and their children Nancy Morris, Joseph Isbell (Carol), Christine McIntire (Tom), and Kathleen Gamard (Keith); granddaughters Jennifer, Sarah, Rachel, Kristin, Lindsey and Carolyn, as well as his brother Charles Isbell (Karin), extended family members and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his grandson Brian Gamard. A memorial service was held at Mount of Olives Lutheran Church, 3546 E. Thomas Rd., on Monday, December 19, 2005. Family suggest memorials to Trinity Hospice, 6245 N. 24th Pkwy. #200A, Phoenix AZ 85016, in lieu of flowers. Published in The Arizona Republic on 12/16/2005.
