Robert "Bobby" Jaramillo, 60, of Winslow, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010.
Mr. Jaramillo was born March 4, 1951, in Winslow. He served in the U.S. Army and later worked at many trades. He worked and played hard, living his life to the fullest.
Before he became ill in September 2009, a part of his daily routine included riding one of his many bikes through his lifelong neighborhood of Coopertown. He stopped by here and there to visit with his friends and neighbors. In November 2009, he came to live with his daughter and her family, where he enjoyed reading his daily newspapers and western books.
He delighted in the time spent with his grandchildren playing games and sharing stories, keeping his smile and sense of humor up until the end of his journey on Earth.
Mr. Jaramillo is survived by his daughter, Adrienne Chavez (Petey); son Aaron Thomas (Arcenia); mother Teresa Villaescusa Jaramillo; 13 grandchildren; brothers Theodore Jaramillo and Paul Jaramillo; sisters Pauline Araujo (Salvador), Rose Flores (Richard), Catherine Estudillo (Joseph) Mary Ann Chavez (David), Guadalupe Lee, Norina Jaramillo and Ernestine "Tina" Crowson (Terry); and many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Molly; his father, Juan Ralph Jaramillo Jr.; brother Ernest Jaramillo; and his grandparents, Frank F. Villaescusa and Maria G. Villaescusa.
Holy Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7 p.m. at Madre De Dios Catholic Church. Memorial Mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Madre De Dios. Officiating will be Father Frank Chacon. Inurnment to follow at Desert View Cemetery.
