Stella Grace Streppa
(July 17, 1943 - Dec. 5, 2010)
A memorial service for Stella Grace Streppa, 67, dearly loved sister, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and sister-in-law, will take place 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at Chino Valley Funeral Home.
A native of the Finger Lakes region in upstate New York, Stella long ago embraced the majesty and freedom of the Rocky Mountains she called home. She loved animals - those who lived with her, be it tortoise, horse, pig, goat, dog, cat, fish or feathered friend, and those whose lives she fought fiercely to protect. She made her living serving others, most notably at Louie's, her Jackson Hole, Wyo., restaurant, and Mama Mia's, her pizzeria in Chino Valley. For Stella, time well spent was in the saddle, on the slopes, hiking, chilling on her land in Idaho, and on Skype with family. We all thought, with a soul so strong, that we'd have her forever.
Stella is survived by her brother Art; sister Louise; niece Heather; nephews Joshua and Skye; and grandnieces Amelia Crain and Kallyn Streppa. She was the daughter of Herman and Concetta Streppa of Geneva, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Stella and her youngest nephew to the Arran Thomas Amadeo Streppa Endowment Fund, The University of Texas Medical Branch, 301 University Boulevard, Galveston, TX 77550.
