MANN, Doris E.

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, December 07, 2010 Doris E. Mann, age 97, of Prescott, Ariz., was called home to heaven on Dec. 5, 2010. Doris was born in Lansing, Mich., to Ethel and Carl Whitmore. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. M.L. Mann. Both she and Dr. Mann are well-known for their work and establishment of the Arizona Nazarene Church district dating back to 1940, where he served as district superintendent for over 30 years. Doris is survived by their three children, Karl Mann (Faye), Ruth Lindsey (Don) and Naomi Cliff (Bob); six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren, all of whom reside in Arizona. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Patsy and Sam Spagnulo of Michigan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Maier, of St. Louis, Mo. She died peacefully at the Marley House Hospice in Prescott after a very short illness. Visitation is Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at 10 a.m., with services following at 11 a.m. First Church of the Nazarene, 2110 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, Ariz. Information provided by survivors.
