Paul Robert Sowerby passed away Nov. 30, 2010, in Lake Havasu City at the age of 67. He was born on Oct. 23, 1943, in Mt. Clemens, Mich.
Paul moved from Farmington Hills, Mich., to Lake Havasu City in 1999 to open his own law practice. At the time of his death, he was president of the Havasu Community Health Foundation’s board of directors and the Mohave County Bar Association. Paul enjoyed being a member of the Rods and Relics car club. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Paul leaves behind his brother, Fred Sowerby and his wife, Lynne, of Bandero, Texas; nieces and nephews, Tracey and Jack McAfee, of Houston, Texas, Scott Sowerby and Deb, of Auburn, Ind., and Kelly and Ted Stiglich, of Traverse City, Mich.; cousin, Judy Lazare and her husband, Rick, of Lake Havasu City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ileene Sowerby.
Memorial services will take place Saturday, 10 a.m. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Chaplain Katherine Kenney will offer words of comfort and inspiration.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s name to the Western Arizona Humane Society or Havasu Community Health Foundation.
